Date:  Wednesdays, February 1, 8, 15 and 22, 2023Time:  10:30 a.m.Title:  Dance Pants PartyRecommended for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-school age kids, this simple dance program will feature “The Wheels on the Bus,” “Baby Shark,” and more. Families, it’s time to get your groove on!  Please note: this program will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Audience:  Recommended for ages 1+.

Dates: Thursdays, February 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2023Time: 10:30 a.m.Title: Toddler and Preschool StorytimeDescription: Recommended for ages 2-5, this storytime program includes books, songs, games, and early literacy fun! Please note: this program will be held outdoors, weather permitting.Audience: Children

Date: Saturday, February 4, 2023Time: 12:30 – 5:30 p.m.Title: All Girls STEM and Clueless FTC present:  Astro Camp® Embark on a Mission to Mars!Location: Community RoomDescription:  Astro Camp® is a one-day program led by coaches from the Clueless First Tech Challenge (FTC) and All Girls STEM Society. Geared for kids in grades 3-8, participants will conduct various interactive, educational activities to delve into the science behind NASA’s Mars Rover mission.  Registration is required, at https://www.thecluelessftc.org/outreach/nasa-astro-camp.Audience: This workshop is recommended for kids in grades 3 through 8.

Date:  Tuesday, February 7, 2023Time:  1:00 p.m.Title:  Oasis Presents:  Don’t Downsize, Rightsize!

Description:  Senior Real Estate Specialist Lorelai Taylor will give you tips and strategies to lighten your load and rightsize your life.  Whether you are managing an estate, are moving to new digs, or just want to clean up where you are, learn how to evaluate personal possessions, decide what to keep, and be able to let go.  This event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to pre-register.

Audience:  Recommended for adults.

Date:  Tuesdays, February 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2023Time:  4:00 – 5:00 p.m.Title:  Chess ClubHave you always wanted to learn how to play chess or improve your skills? If you have never played before, or are just looking for someone to practice with, join us for some friendly competition!  All supplies are provided.

Audience:  Recommended for elementary school-aged children through adults.

Date:  Monday, February 13, 2023Time:  4:00 p.m.Title:  Mission Valley Kids Book and Craft ClubJoin us the second Monday of every month for an entertaining book club where we’ll discuss a great kids book, do a related craft, and enjoy snacks. The book for February is Chunky by Yehudi Mercado.  Contact the library at 858-573-5007 for more information. Audience: This program is recommended for readers ages 8-11.
